I’m happy to share the latest news I’ve come across. Amazon Prime Video will now include ads for subscribers, unless they pay extra. This is a disappointment for many who have enjoyed ad-free streaming. In other news, Tesla is recalling nearly 200,000 cars due to an issue with the rearview camera, which is concerning for Tesla owners and potential buyers. On a positive note, there are six ways to boost your credit score quickly, which can be helpful for those in need of a loan. There is also an article discussing how to qualify for Roth IRA contributions, which could be beneficial for those looking to reduce their taxable income and save for retirement.

In the tech world, a South Korean AI chipmaker raised $124 million in Series B funding to challenge the market share of Nvidia, reflecting the increasing competition in the AI chip market. Furthermore, iRobot’s takeover by Amazon was scuttled by European antitrust regulators, leading to a significant drop in iRobot’s shares. The company also announced plans to lay off 31% of its employees and focus solely on floorcare products like Roomba, marking a significant shift in strategy for the company.

Additionally, I came across a case brought by the US Securities and Exchange Commission against Xue Lee and Brenda Chunga for their involvement in a fraudulent crypto asset pyramid scheme known as HyperFund. The SEC alleges that Lee and Chunga promoted HyperFund “membership” packages that guaranteed investors high returns, but they knew or were reckless in not knowing that HyperFund was a pyramid scheme with no real source of revenue other than funds received from investors. It’s concerning to see the prevalence of fraudulent schemes in the financial world.

Stay Well!
