A1 Health has made a significant environmental impact by phasing out desflurane anaesthesia in Indonesia, reducing carbon emissions in operating rooms by 25%. Additionally, Sankara Eye Hospital has opened a new super-speciality facility in Andhra Pradesh, showcasing a substantial investment of around $8.5 million. IHH Healthcare North Asia has also expanded its partnership with Prudential Hong Kong, offering services at facilities like Gleneagles MediCentre and Parkway Shanghai Hospital.

In other news, Indonesia’s MedTech import market has seen a remarkable rebound, hitting $3.28 billion in 2024 after contracting to $1.79 billion in 2022. Moreover, Gleneagles Hospital HK and CTF Life have launched a health management program, providing streamlined referrals and comprehensive cancer care. The Cowra Hospital Redevelopment is set to open in late 2025, featuring the facility’s first CT scanner. Additionally, the Australian government has unveiled a concept design for the $1.3 billion Bankstown Hospital, outlining planned services and facilities within the new building.

Furthermore, Aster RV Hospital is utilizing the CORI system for knee revision surgery, generating a 3D mapping of the joint to support real-time imaging.
