I just heard some troubling news about a ransomware attack on Paraguay’s largest mobile operator and internet service provider, Tigo. The Paraguayan Army’s cybersecurity team is urging institutions to strengthen their networks in response to this attack. Another concerning issue is the disclosure of 48 security flaws in Microsoft’s January 2024 Windows Update, including 12 remote code execution vulnerabilities. The U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) has also added six security flaws to its Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalog, affecting popular software and hardware products.
